The Volunteer Center also provides skills enhancement programs for volunteer managers of partner non-profit agencies through ASK.VolunteerCenter, a monthly topic generated support groups and the Volunteer Center Training Series for volunteer managers and agency volunteers. Topics to date are getting ready for baby boomers, recruiting volunteers on the internet, creating position descriptions to name a few.
VAC Fox Cities (Volunteer Action Council)
A local networking association for volunteer managers
Networking: Monthly meetings, sharing ideas and information with other volunteer coordinators. Meetings are the third Thursday of the month at 11:30 to 1:00 - Goodwill Campus Menasha. Usually meets January through May, September through November. During the summer months a networking lunch is scheduled.
Presentations: Monthly programs on topics of interest to volunteer management.
One Vote: Have a voice in VAC’s direction, leadership and policies. One vote per agency.
Volunteer of the Week: Eligible to nominate a volunteer from your organization to be highlighted in the Post Crescent. The Post Crescent prints the Volunteer of Week (Volunteer Profile) information in the Life Section of the Sunday edition.
